Hi, I went to Cafe Paradiso 7 years ago. It was the first date with my husband today. I enjoyed my tagliatelle with basil very much. Have great memories of that night. Unforgettable. Your restaurant is a place of joy of happinnes for us. Not only for the food but for the atmosphere you have created. And once more you fif it again as our best friends Jana and Ed are getting married on the 11th november and are going there to have lunch with all the family and friends. Keep it like that.Cork. Cafe Paradiso. Great time, great memories

Looking forward to eating with you next summer 2005 on our family Round the World trip. I found your cookbook in a little food Coop on Vashon Island in Washington state and was very impressed! I worked at Ballymaloe House in Cork as a Chef several years ago- I guess before you restaurant was there- so was excited to read about you, try some of your delicious and creative recipes, and add you to our travel plans!

How I wish I were in Cork … but the next best thing is to live here in the Pacific Northwest with loads of great produce and Denis’ cookbooks. I have a question: Have you written THREE cookbooks or TWO? I have Cafe Paradiso Seasons and The Cafe Paradiso Cookbook … but I spy another one on the net called simply Cafe Paradiso Cookbook. Is it different from “The” CP Cookbook? I don’t want to miss ANY of your recipes. Thank you so much for sharing your skill and passion for good food through your cookbooks. You are at my elbow almost nightly as I make our dinner. Yours, Becky

Denis Cotter comments: – The third book is a U.S. publication of Paradiso Seasons, which finally went out with the title of Cafe Paradiso Seasons – but only after the publisher had advertised it using the same title as my first book. I’m sorry for the confusion, but its beyond my control. There are only two books – Cafe Paradiso Cookbook and Paradiso Seasons. Give me a couple of years though…

First came upon the cook book in Portland, Oregon while living there. Finally got to go there in May 2004 and again in August 2004. Suddenly my trip from Dublin to Cork is fuelled by fantastic food, service and oringinality at Cafe Paradiso. Four of us ate there and each meal was as good as the other person’s! Melt in the mouth flavour and taste!

Your cookbooks are excellent. This year we took on an allotment and were able to enjoy deep fried stuffed courgette flower – wonderful! Your books are dictating what we grow. We looking forward to visiting your restaruant next spring on our way to West Cork.

My dear friends.
A slightly addled and nostalgic Google-ing has revealed you to me. Now awash with homesickness and a longing for some sheeps cheese galette.
Miss you all, love you all.

Last summer me and my other half were driving around Ireland on holiday when after an exhausting drive from Dublin reached Cork at 9pm. After finding somewhere to stay we stummled upon Cafe Paradiso. The food, staff and petty much everything was fantastic. The funny thing was that when we arrived back in England (and had been raving on about the resturant to friends) I went into my kitchen to prepare some food and decided to use our new cookbook that had been bought for my partner as a leaving present from work only a week before we went on holiday. I looked at the title ‘Paradiso Seasons’ and thought that it was a coincidence and look inside to find my thoughts confirmed. Brilliant, not only did it make me chuckle but have been cooking fantastic food since. Thanks for an amazing time and great receipes.
